The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of watching over kids is to listen and read body language. Our minds and bodies are our most important tools, I love to teach them the proper ways to use them and show them how to respect their body. If they can tell me what’s wrong, we will work through it the best way possible. It’s important to remember always listen to them even if they are whining or being stubborn.
My experience with special needs children...
Mainly in school. Although I’ve worked with many disabilities it has mainly been Autism and Down syndrome. I have worked with kids who are in wheelchairs, have a hard time eating, who can be aggressive, verbal or non verbal and more. ( Also important to mention I will never force them to talk but will encourage ways to!)
