A little bit about me

Hi! I’m an 18-year-old high school and college student, currently balancing both worlds as I work toward my goals. I have a big heart for caring for kids—it’s something that brings me happiness. i’m also the oldest sibling, so caring for the younger ones comes naturally to me! Creativity is a huge part of who I am; I’m always coming up with new ideas and sprucing up things to make them fun. At the same time, I’m super down-to-earth and laid-back, always trying to bring a calm and positive vibe wherever I go.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve gained a lot of experience by babysitting for family members, especially my younger cousins. It’s helped me become really patient and responsible, and explore new ways to keep the kids engaged. I also volunteered at my former elementary school, where I helped tutor first-grade students. That experience taught me how to explain things in a simple, encouraging way and showed me how rewarding it is to support younger students as they learn and grow.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When it comes to spending time with kids, I love being outside with them whenever the weather is nice—and even sometimes when it’s raining, as long as it’s safe and they’re having fun. If we’re inside, I like to come up with my own creative activities to keep them entertained. If ideas ever run short, I have Pinterest boards full of fun, age-appropriate, and kid-friendly activities that I love. I always try to keep things fun, engaging, and suited to what the kids enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me about being a nanny is making sure the kids are being cared for in every way possible, whether that’s attention and affection, establishing routines, and engaging in age appropriate activities!

My experience with special needs children...

I also have experience working with children who have special needs. Two of my cousins have autism, and I love spending time with them and watching them. Being around them has taught me how to be more understanding, patient, and flexible. I’ve learned that every child is different, and it’s important to listen, stay calm, and support them in ways that work best for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t really have one favorite nanny moment. What I love most is just seeing the kids happy, laughing, and having fun. The little moments when they’re smiling or excited about something always what make it special for me!!
