I have been a day camp counselor for Ramapo for Children the past three years. I was a group counselor for 7-11 year olds who came in groups of 10-20, and had a range of intellectual, social, and linguistic abilities. As well as working at the Ramapo sleepaway camp for a month this past summer, which specializes in helping children facing behavioral challenges and addressing special needs.

I love organizing outdoor games (red light green light, tag, sports games, etc.), as well as swimming, baking, board games, etc.

I remember the first time I was asked to put the baby I was watching down to sleep, and I could not for the life of me get him to stop crying. I tried everything possible I was told and could think of, and finally, I was able to rock him to sleep by singing my own favorite lullaby from when I was a kid. I was so relieved and felt so much joy!
