A little bit about me

Hi! Thank you for reading. I’ve worked with kids for a long time now! I’m knowledgeable in child development. I'm very interested in psychology. Which can be applied to any stage of life.
Setting, and respecting boundaries is very important to me. Open communication, and respecting your wishes for your kiddos is key for harmony between us. My job is not to parent, but to reinforce the parenting that is already in place by you!
I’m rather independent - give me a list of things to do for the day and I’ll check them off one by one. It’s also important to me that the line between my job description and a favor is clear. I am up for the occasional favor but if it’s not child related it’s important that there’s clear communication about what’s expected(:

Being a good example & my best self is also very important to me. My experience working as a nanny has shaped the way I view the world.
I bring a lot to the table, as a nanny and as a person. I’m happy to answer any questions you have. x

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have significant experience with many different children on the spectrum. Those of which require individual care. Each child with different needs and strengths.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Intentional, engaging, creative activities- always! Some of the most entertaining activities can be some of the easiest.

The most important part about being a nanny...

being patient, allowing kids to be kids while keeping them safe, feeling safe, and emotionally regulated

My experience with special needs children...

My younger brother, who has non-verb autism, has been a big part of my life since he was born. Having him in my life and adapting to his needs has taught me a lot about patience and many different kinds of needs of children.

I also worked in ABA therapy with a number of children on the spectrum. Each with individual needs and strengths.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When a kid is excited to see me! As well as noticing the impact I’m making, watching our dynamic get sweeter and more functional as we get used to each other.
