I haven’t professionally cared for anyone with special needs but I do have a brother who has Down syndrome. While all kids with special needs are different, I think I could adequately care for one.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite caregiver moment is really difficult to choose. Some that stand out are when my babies at school run to hug me on the playground (and often say “No, mine!” when the other students try to hug me.) I also love when I was babysitting a baby boy and he loved me watching him so much he didn’t want his mom to hug him goodbye before leaving because he thought she’d take him with her.
