I volunteered as a teaching assistant during my highschool career in Clifton, at the Teen Center. Where all students ranging from Freshman to Seniors were welcome to pay a visit either during or after-school for help! Those of us skilled in specific subjects would partner up with our peers seeking guidance for their classes. Courses ranged from Algebra, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, Essay Writing, Languages(Spanish, French, Italian, etc) even forming study groups for SAT practice. It was also an incredible safe space for anyone to be in(ages 13-19), like a home away from home, with time for leisure and private counseling included too!
