Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to paid experience, my life experience as the oldest of 7 children has also given me the passion and confidence to say I am capable of taking care of children of any age. Being that I helped care for my sibling when I was much younger I can say my passion and my skillsets have greatly increased but that caregiving has always come very natural for me.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading with children of all ages(whether it’s reading to or reading with) putting together puzzles, helping them explore ideas more by showing them examples or doing a craft, yoga to help them process emotions using movement/help get them moving, coloring, etc. I am extremely open and flexible with incorporating new activities that are important to both the child and the parent as I get to know them and start working with them to develop specific goals!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny is caring for each child as if they were your own. That means completely aligning yourself with what the parents want for their child, being diligent about relaying new developments in each child, and working as a team with the parents to best care for that child.
