My experience with special needs children...

I’ve was brought in as a consultant and co lead teacher for a classroom of Neurodiverse students. The class had 23 students 12 of which had iep plans and a teacher who had no idea how to approach the class. We worked together to find helpful and engaging ways to connect, include, and support our classroom. I myself am autistic so I empathize and can see their point of view.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When a mom was at her wits end with trying to put her kid to sleep and she called me because in class I could always get her daughter to nap and I talked to the child on the phone and got her to sleep so the mom could finally rest.
