Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 5 years experience in a personal nannying setting. I’ve been with 3 different families long term (1 yr plus) and have loved getting know them every step of the way. In these settings I have cared for the children in their home or my own, have done house keeping, given rides to events/school, and adored every step of the way.
I have also done date nights or last minute babysitting gigs as well for other families. I have been on sittercity and care.com which is how most of these families found me.
I have done volunteer work in a daycare setting during middle and high school. I watched around 10 kids and led them through a set schedule throughout the day until pickup. I did this for about 3 years and it was a great experience.
I have experience with children with autism as well and watched 2 boys full time that were on the autism spectrum, I helped with homework and planned fun activities for us.

Some activities I have done in the past and want to do in the future are going to the park, pool days (have also been trained in survival exercises for kid’s swimming), and crafts. If the parent has any other suggestions, I’m open to them all.

It would be to build a relationship with the children you’re caring for (& their parents) so that trust is established.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for special needs (specifically autistic) children that are elementary and middle school aged. We had fun days at the park, picked them up from school, dropped off at appointments, helped with homework, and worked on coping skills while having a fun time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve had a lot of great moments before but one was when me and a 3 year old girl I watch went to an indoor swimming park and had a blast. This was her first time at a swimming pool that had a park and it was super fun.
One more moment was when one of my kid’s I cared for moved away and then he found me on Instagram on his mother’s account because he missed me. It was super sweet!
