More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered at the community theatre in Killeen in which we did a production of Elf Jr. where the entire cast were children from the ages of 4-15 years old. I have also babysat around my old neighborhood in Killeen and I have babysat my cousin at different times throughout the years, occasionally a week at a time. My cousin is currently 8 years old and he is on the spectrum so I am able follow the routines and daily regimen needed for him so he is able to enjoy his day to the fullest.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy providing arts and crafts activities to do with children. If I am driving with a little one, I often put on a kid-friendly podcast and I admit I have turned a few kids on to listening to them in their own free time. I enjoy taking kids out to parks and doing activities around the city such as taking them to places like the local library. I also enjoy sitting and entertaining kids at home as well. For entertainment at home I like to pull out a board game or a stack of Uno cards. There are also endless craft activities to do that are enjoyable for everyone such as making oobleck (with lots of supervision of course.) If there is a limit to screen-time, I guarantee I can keep everyone entertained with endless fun.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a cousin on the spectrum and I am able to follow the daily routine that is necessary to help him. I stick to routine that is outlined to me beforehand and follow it to a T. I also have friends who are on the spectrum who have been able to better help me learn for future situations of what might help if any problem were to arise. I try to keep him away from places that might be too over-stimulating for him such as the waterpark, but I do take him to the community pool where there is less commotion and he is able to feel comfortable.
I also have a grandmother with dementia and diabetes and I have experience administrating her insulin and providing general care for her.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in San Marcos, TX: Gabrielle P.
Hello,
My name is Gabrielle, however I go by Gabbie. I’m a college student at Texas State majoring in business marketing. I love children and animals. I have a dog his name is Kooper and he loves all people, he’s actually an ESA and is great for those whom have anxiety or depression. As far as hobbies I love to float the river, watch movies, hang with friends, and just live life to the fullest. My biggest goal while caring for children is to introduce them to new things, let them be free and allow them the opportunity to play in real life as much as possible away from the iPads! I will always understand I bad day but I love to encourage them talking it out rather than cry or act out. I love adventures so if the kids are old enough and parents don’t mind I love taking trips to the park, out for yogurt, even just a bike ride. For the littles gentle care and sweet lullabies are my fave! Generally I can get any kid on my side and I would love to meet the family!
