More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a mother of 2 adult children, who cared for other teachers children (ages 6 weeks to 4 years) while raising my own children before returning to teaching. I was a Kindergarten teacher for 21 years in Westchester, NY and a PreK teacher for 6 years in Tupper Lake, NY. I am ready to return to childcare and hoping I might be able to help your family during the day or after school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love developing life skills through real world experiences. Reading and interacting with books is a must but I also enjoy cooking, doing laundry, gardening, going on walks and connecting with nature by learning about plant, animal, and insect life. The key is interaction and connection and that is my strength when it comes to working with young children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making a personal connection with a child and being able to love, laugh, and learn together and see the world through their eyes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I will always treasure the memory of one little boy I cared for who left the dinner table with his family to toddle over to my table and climb into my lap even though our day together was technically over. His parents and I all knew in that moment that we had a very special connection.
