A little bit about me

I am a middle aged woman with with lots of energy who is looking for a part time nanny job.
My own children have now entered college and are finishing up high school and I have more time to give. I have a special education teaching degree and previously worked at camps, schools, a residential treatment center for kids and teens and within the homeschooling community. I have spent lots of time caring for children and look forward to spending time with yours! :) I am CPR and First Aid certified and would love to hear from you to see if I would be a good fit for your family! Just about anything! Reading, walking, singing, games, crafts, sports of all kinds, hiking, playground....
I am safety conscious and aware and attentive.
I'm good at meeting a person where they are at and engaging on their level. I will be creative and fun
when needed but also calming and peaceful when needed. I have a lot of patience and love to give.

Providing a safe and nurturing environment for the family. Listening to the parents goals and desires for their children and doing my best to meet them!

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with lots of children with various mental health struggles and have a great amount of experience with sensory processing struggles and behavior challenges stemming from neurodivergence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say those moments where we do something spontaneous that brings joy or laughter or times when I can help a child feel more safe and secure are my favorite moments. Teachable moments are great too.
