As an aunt to 14 wonderful nieces and nephews, I have been there from the moment they were born and have had the privilege of taking care of them from newborns to now 16 years old. I had a special needs stepsister that was mute and she had the mentality of a 2 year old at age 24. I helped care for for her in the weekend for 6 years.
I prepped her meals fed her, played learning games and puzzles with her. I also learned how to redirect her when she would get over stimulated.
