A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Bethany! I’m 25 years old, born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. My passion for childcare started when I was employed as a dance instructor for ages 6-13 at Patternz Summer Camp and pushed me to dive deeper into childhood development. I love the arts and am a professional dancer for Thiossane West African Dance Institute. My favorite hobbies outside of creating art are reading, taking walks outside and watching Disney movies. I am currently employed as an Infant teacher at the Primrose School at Mill Run and am looking to move my employment to a more intimate setting to grow in childcare, cooking and house keeping. I have no plans on it soon but do aspire to be a mother and raise a family of my own in the future! I hope we can connect further on whatever needs you have your child(ren) and home.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

various babysitting jobs. I was the lead dance instructor at Patternz Summer Camp for ages 6-13. I have infant experience from my current job at Primrose School of Hilliard at Mill Run.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love to dance and craft making! I love to take walks outside and visiting local parks. Visits to libraries and partaking in their free activities would be a great opportunity to further children’s development and exposure to extracurriculars as I love visiting the library myself. I love playing board games and exploring dramatic play through using imagination and makeshift props!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me is really understanding and meeting the child’s individual needs. I feel children are often underestimated in them knowing what it is that they feel and need. As a caretaker, it’s our job to guide them and assist them in becoming the healthiest and brightest versions of themselves while respecting where they are on their journey.
