I have cared for children since I was twelve-years-old. I have quite a diverse range of experiences in child care. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I spent five years teaching children ages six to twelve. I taught English to kindergarteners and first graders in China for 4 months. I tutored a family during the COVID-19 pandemic and taught the girls the core school curriculum. One was a fourth-grader, the other a seventh-grader. I nannied over the 2018 summer for a family in the Washington D.C. area and gained a lot of experience in engaging the children in educational and interactive activities. I nannied for a family where care also included some light housekeeping, as well as cooking.

Indoor activities: arts and crafts activities, coloring, baking, cooking, reading, playing with toys, interactive and imaginative playtime, museums. Outdoor activities: walking, bike riding, playground time, nature walks/kid-friendly hiking.

I have had so many precious moments! One that stands out is when I was working on affirmations with one of the girls I nannied. We practiced saying "I love myself!" After this day, she would run around saying "I love myself! I love myself!" with so much confidence, self-love, and empowerment.
