A little bit about me

Hi,
I have loved children and babies since I was a little girl. I quickly became a Mother’s helper at 8 years old and started babysitting at 12. I babysat frequently and even more with driving. I took my son and daughter with me to nanny.. Later, with my third daughter I started an in home childcare. I have had experience for 25+ years of experience on and off in all different types of childcare from nannying in and out of the home. I have traveled with families and worked in the nursery at Church, VBS and more. It is a joy to be a Mother to three children and a Mimi to a two year old.
My approach is interactive, nurturing, structured, yet fun and fluid. I hope to be the next best thing to the parents while they’re needing help.
I have helped with cleaning the home/picking up, light meal prep, laundry, and elderly care and dog/cat sitting. (Prices vary if house management).
I have a minimum of 3 hours that I charge.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have grownup with a love for children and being homeschooled I started with a course and got into babysitting at 12. When I started driving I actively babysat more. I traveled with families and worked in Church nurseries and VBS and more throughout my life. In becoming a Mother I wanted to stay at home as much as I could, so I nannied with my son and daughter in people’s homes . With my third child in tow, I started a in home childcare for two years. I then started working out of the home again with my youngest daughter while we pursued ministry.
I have helped to manage households in various ways. I love Jesus and love to help families and have a passion to help others.
I just graduated my second year of Bible school last May. I have also studied some courses in psychology and Criminal Justice.
I have worked with special needs, the elderly, and cared for those who are sick or at end stages as well. I have also pet, house sit and can clean negotiable.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I try to create a safe, fun loving atmosphere while having some fluid structure as well.
I love to sing and dance, take walks, do crafts, floor play, go over their numbers or what the parents would like me to help them learn.
Water play is fun, creative play, legos, dolls, puzzles, coloring, etc.
It can really depend on what the child is interested in:)
I also love to go on small little trips, like the aquarium or fun places to learn but have fun as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love to help children to feel seen, loved, nurtured and have the best extension of their parents while they’re gone.

Seeing that each child is different and has their own personality, needs and interests is not only fascinating but such a wonderful gift to work with and help them learn. Children are a gift and should be treasured.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for autistic, children that were non-verbal, ADHD, asthma, vocal chord disorder, and more~

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was recently showing a little boy my son as we were getting to know one another.As I was showing this little boy my son and telling him how he is not so little anymore. He said to me: “ I have a son!” I said, “You do?” He said, “Yes”. Then he went over to their digital frame and showed me his Daddy. ( 😂 haha, it was so cute).
We played legos, hide and seek and cars that evening. He asked me if I would be his best friend forever. It was the best!
