A little bit about me

With over a decade of experience in early childhood education and childcare, I am a passionate and nurturing nanny. I have worked with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and have a strong foundation in early childhood education (ECE).

My experience includes roles as a preschool teacher, paraprofessional in the school system, and private nanny. I have also raised my own daughter, which has given me invaluable insight into child development and family dynamics.

In addition to my ECE background, I hold a certification in ECE and have completed coursework in art education K-12. I enjoy incorporating creative activities into my childcare approach, fostering children's imagination and self-expression.

I am committed to providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for children. I believe in building strong relationships with families and supporting children's growth and development through play, learning, and love.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My background includes 5 years as a preschool teacher at a child care center, where I gained my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Additionally, I have worked in both Public and Private Schools as a Regular and Special Ed Paraprofessional. I have also worked as a Private Nanny for several families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Baking/Cooking. Outdoor Activities: Nature Walks, Exploring, Playground, Sports. Arts and Crafts: Painting, drawing, coloring, building with blocks or LEGOs, making crafts with recycled materials. Sensory Play: Exploring different textures, colors, and smells through activities like playdough, slime, water play, or sensory bins. Pretend Play: Setting up a dress-up area, building forts, playing house, or pretending to be different characters. Puzzles and Games: Board games, card games, puzzles, or educational games.
Storytelling and Reading: Reading books together, telling stories, or acting out favorite stories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Ultimately, what matters most is a genuine love for children and a desire to provide them with a safe, nurturing, and enriching experience.

My experience with special needs children...

I believe in providing individualized care tailored to each child's unique needs and abilities. I have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with autism and cerebral palsy and approach my work with patience and empathy.
I value collaboration with families, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I cared for a lovely, energetic, sweet little boy named Brown. Brown was “something special” he challenged and motivated me to be the best, and brought out all my hidden talents I needed to become a successful nanny. It also helped that I was a mother myself to a little girl at the time. Applying my skills as a mother to my very first nanny position came easily and flowed nicely into Brown's schedule. He and my daughter also grew a forever bond. I assisted Brown from ages 2-8, I gave him the care and the personalized attention he needed. I took on the role of mentor and caregiver, while his parents worked full time jobs. I had become his friend and role model and encouraged his parents as well, as first time parents. I supported them by sending photos of his day, his achievements, and his cute smile. I was able to keep his parents involved in his life, while they stayed active in their careers.
