I have worked as a Pre-K lead teacher, Infant teacher, Summer camp supervisor, Substitute teacher, and volunteered with several organizations that empower and advocate for underserved youth.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Sensory and motor skills with infants. Art activities, science experiments, pretend play, outdoor games and exploration. Board and video games, hiking and cooking fun with older kiddos. I enjoy taking kids on outings and adventures!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building trust with the children, and Parents. It is incredibly important to me that the kiddos know they can trust me and be comfortable coming to me. And just as important that parents know that not only do I genuinely care about their child, but also that they can depend on me for anything. I know life can be hectic and It's my ultimate goal to make the everyday easier and give them the piece of mind that their kids are happy, safe, and loved, even when they can't be there.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked in several inclusive classrooms and summer camps. As well as experience as a full time nanny for a child with speech delays and sensory processing disorder.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I took one of the kiddos I nannied for on the zoo. He was having a wonderful time making the animal sounds that we were practicing in preparation for the trip. Out of no where he looked at me and very clearly said "This is fun Ms. Blake!" That was the fist time I ever heard him speak a complete sentence and I was so incredibly proud of him. I couldn't wait to tell Mom and Dad the news!
