I think the most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for children. Kids should feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for, while parents should feel confident and at peace knowing their children are in good hands. I also believe patience, communication, and building a real connection with the child are just as important as helping with daily routines and responsibilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nannying moments was when a child I babysat who was usually very shy started opening up to me more and more each time I came over. Eventually they would get excited whenever I arrived and wanted to show me their toys, drawings, and tell me about their day. It made me realize how important it is for kids to feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for, and that’s something I always try to bring into every family I work with.
