The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a childcare worker for me is to create a safe, inclusive, and loving space for all children I work with. Through my work, I hope to show every kid I work with the amount of time, love, and care that they deserve, no matter their life circumstances.
My experience with special needs children...
I have never worked one-on-one with special needs children before, but I have plenty of experience communicating, collaborating, and problem-solving with multiple special needs children in a playground, classroom, and playroom setting. I am especially proficient in psychology, as that is my desired future career path, so while I may not have specific qualifications working with special needs kids, I do have a lot of understanding of various mental illnesses and disorders and how to work with individuals who have them. My research spans over many different diagnoses, including, but not limited to, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), ASD (autism spectrum disorder), depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, dissociative disorders, and ASPD (anti-social personality disorder).
