A little bit about me

I’ll be 14 in August, and I have experience babysitting my cousins and helping care for my 8 siblings, including 6 younger than me. Through this, I’ve learned how to be responsible, patient, and attentive while making sure children feel safe and comfortable. I also help out around the house often and always try to be respectful and dependable. I’m currently looking for a summer job and would possibly be available on weekends or afternoons during the school year as well. I’m usually very available since I don’t have a busy schedule. In my free time, I enjoy writing, playing volleyball, and I’m always open to learning new skills and gaining more experience. The only language I fluently speak is English but I know a tiny bit of Spanish!

Through this experience, I’ve learned how to be patient, responsible, caring, and able to handle different situations calmly.

Some activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, playing games, watching movies, going outside, and finding fun ways to keep them entertained while still making sure they’re safe. I also enjoy helping with homework, reading with them, and doing creative activities that make them feel included and comfortable. I love creating a fun and positive environment where children can laugh, feel happy, and enjoy their time. I’m always open to try new things even if I’m not good at it, as long as the child likes it!

The most important part of being a babysitter is making sure the child feels safe, comfortable, and cared for at all times. I believe it’s important to create a fun and positive environment where the child can enjoy themselves, but it’s also very important to set boundaries and follow any instructions the parents give me. I understand that every family has different rules and expectations, and I always want to respect those while being responsible, patient, and attentive. Building trust with both the child and the parents is something I value a lot because it helps everyone feel secure and confident while I’m babysitting.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve never cared for special needs I can be patient and help out. I don’t think it should be that difficult because in the end they’re still a child. I’d honestly need the details on what exactly is wrong with them to speak on this but if it’s speech impediment, or something like that I’d be perfectly fine and happy to watch over them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite experience as a babysitter is when the child feels safe, happy, and truly comfortable around me. I love being able to make them laugh, have fun with them, and create a positive environment where they can just enjoy themselves. Seeing a child smile and knowing they trust me makes my heart feel so warm because it reminds me that I’m doing a good job being responsible while also making them feel cared for and understood.
