A little bit about me

I'm a young grandmother, born and raised in Hawaii, but lived most of life in Southern CA. I am relatively new to Texas. My 3 kids are grown and my grandkids range from 10 to 12 yrs old, which I've helped raised since birth. All live in Southern CA. I run a small business from my home (Mon - Fri) and need to supplement my income. I'm available any day of the week and evenings. I can work with a set schedule or flexible one - even last minute needs. I do prefer shorter work hours like 4 - 5 hour shifts due to my home based business. Weekend hours can be longer, as well as wk day evening hours. Open to discussing my schedule to hear what your needs are. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I just completely a Nanny position with schooling for a 4 yr old who is now entering Kindergarten at age 5-1/2. Also, currently babysit a neighbor to this family 1 week out of the month who was 3 yrs old when I started with her and is now 4 yrs old. Ideally looking for hours that are in the late afternoon into early evening (possibly after school care, until parents come home) - so I can continue with the 4 yr old one week per month. But flexible - it just depends!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Any indoor activites, games, building blocks, reading, great with schooling & art projects or learning activites. Whatever the child needs or wants to do. As for outdoor activities.....I'm open to anything weather pemitting. Lets discuss!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is making sure the child is comfortable and safe. Being engaged with them. Children love to be heard. Also, doing my best to make sure I'm caring for your child as you would. Giving you peace of mind!

My experience with special needs children...

I know basic sign language (A - Z alphabet). I'm not experienced with any particular special needs, but willing to accommodate and see if I can meet your expectations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many.....seeing them engaged in what we are doing (activites). You can see the wheels spinning in their brains when they are learning or when they are captivated with the activity. With infants I love to talk to them, read or sing. Making them smile or laugh.
