I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and caring for children in a professional setting for over 5 years. I love working with children and planning activities that are engaging and fun, but also educational. I love going on "field trips" with children, and have experience doing so and going to places such as the park, libraries, museums, swimming lessons, water parks, etc. I love to cook and am willing to help with household chores and errands. I have taken many classes in human development and early childhood education, and taught preschool and planned lessons in elementary schools and daycares. I am also first aid and CPR certified, and I have my food handlers permit.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a daycare for 3 years, with children from ages 3months-12 years. I have interned in many elementary schools, and am currently a preschool teacher in the mornings. I was a nanny for almost 2 years, for 3 children age newborn-6 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing crafts, and coming up with activities. I like going to parks and on adventures. I am obsessed with picture books, and love reading them!

My experience with special needs children...

I was a peer tutor in junior high and high school, and absolutely loved it! I also used to babysit a girl with Down syndrome, and it was one of my favorite jobs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I set up an indoor “movie theater” for the kids I used to nanny, and the little boy who was 2 at the time, sat on my lap during the movie, gave me a kiss on my cheek, and said “I love you soooo much!”. He’s still my best buddy to this day.
