More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I graduated in 2017 with an education degree, and was privileged to teach middle and high school aged children for 3 years. I also have experience volunteering with both children and infants nurseries and church programs. I now also have the experience of full-time motherhood as my daughter is now 15 months old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to encourage children to explore their surroundings and learn about the world around them. I particularly like aiding in children learning applicable life skills. ( i.e. kitchen home, outdoor exploration, social, observation skills etc.) Some of my favorite ways to help kiddos learn is through baking, crafts, sports, reading and playing outside.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe is providing a sage environment for each child to learn, grow and discover themselves and the world around them. Each child is unique and will need different things, but are each equally valuable and deserve the time and attention they require. As well as the ability to practice safe independence to foster confidence and growth as they are blossoming tiny humans.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked in a school that specialized in helping children with a range of "special needs". Some of this was with supporting children with learning disorders. But, I was also given the opportunity to work with a handful of children that had higher functioning disabilities, with social anxieties.
