I have worked in daycare for over 2.5 years, I have a 3 year old, and I have volunteers at hoop fest and the jingle bells walk/run in a temporary tattoo booth for kids! Also, 2024 spring I was a volunteer soccer coach for 3 year olds for Orting Recreation.

Kinetic sand, blocks, cars, reading, work books, coloring, dinosaurs, outside play, tag, riding bikes and scooters. Pretty much anything the kids want to do.

I am the health and safety officer at my daycare, so the most important thing to me is health and safety of my kids! Next would be them being happy and learning and not bored!
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any training for special needs kids. I have had a couple autistic kids in classes at the daycare, but no experience on how to care for them to meet their needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have never been a nanny, but some moment as a daycare provider are actually today a kid that I have known for 2 years and 3 months blew me kisses and said “bye bye love you”. I have plenty of moments with my daycare kids! I love them so much, but want to be able to give kids more attention due to lesser “ratios”.
