A little bit about me

I have been a nanny for many years and the majority of that time has been spent with children from birth to five years of age. In the past few years I have almost exclusively cared for infants as young as 3 months old.

I have experience both as a nanny and a household manager and I am equally competent in both roles. I genuinely enjoy caring for children of all ages and I take great pride in managing a household.

I have experience caring for children with behavioral and physical differences, as well as severe food allergies and other health concerns. I also have experience caring for multiples.

In 2016, I worked nights for a residential facility in Massachusetts with children from ages 7-17 who were involved with the Department of Children and Families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to stay busy and I especially love to do anything musical or creative. I love to sing, as well as play piano and mandolin. I am also a crafter: I love quilting, embroidery, writing, drawing, gardening, cooking, and anything else I can learn! I am also quite active: I enjoy running, hiking, and anything else we can do to get some energy out!

All that said, I also believe in the importance of down time and independent play. Life is all about balance and I bring that with me into my work.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Supporting the entire family, in whatever way that means for however long I can. I truly love my job, but the older I get the more aware I am of just how strange my job is, and the more I appreciate the weight of the situation:

My experience with special needs children...

Every child is different. The longer I do this job, the more I KNOW that is true. For the sake of answering this question, I have both personal and professional experience with taking care of children with a wide array of different needs across all spectrums. In all my years as a nanny, I have never met a child that I didn’t want to care for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love getting to watch children reach new milestones or overcome big personal obstacles. I regularly cry when babies start walking for the first time and I am the biggest potty training cheerleader. For me, there is no task too great nor win too small.
