A little bit about me

Firstly, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bronwyn Sanders.

It is a privilege, a joy and an honor to be chosen by families to lovingly care for their precious babies and children.

To date, I have been blessed to be a Nanny for 9 incredibly beautiful babies and children, from ages six weeks to 5 years.

My ethos as a nanny: I believe in supporting the growth and development of each uniquely wonderful baby or child. And equally important is to provide a safe, nurturing, fun environment. An environment that fosters creativity, curiosity and a love for lifelong learning.

I am very nurturing, patient, kind, and caring. Each day my focus is to ensure the babies and children, in my care, are loved, nurtured and cherished. We have fun with lots of laughter, educational activities, play time - indoors and outdoors, as well as reading and quiet time.

Also, supporting parents by providing meal prep, laundry and housework assistance.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For several months while their Mummy was looking for work, I cared, daily and into the evening, for 3 absolutely glorious children, 1 year old Baby London, 4-year-old Paisley, and 5-year-old Ethan. I bathed and fed the children, designed fun games, read and helped with writing and comprehension around lots of words. In a funny way. We played in the park each day. I took the children to preschool each day. A memorable and awesome experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Lots of laughter and sweetness, kindness and gentleness. Typically, I am Nanny to babies, toddlers and young children. My passion. Dependent on age, for quiet time, prior to Nap time, we read, learn colors and shapes and numbers. And, have quiet music and snuggle time. Indoor activities could be playing with educational toys, writing, reciting lovely songs and dancing. Sometimes helping to bake cookies for mummy and daddy. Outdoor activities include swimming, running, walking, exploring parks and gardens, reciting colors and shapes and numbers of everything we encounter. Having a snack under a tree on the grass in a lovely park. All to enhance language annunciation and comprehension, in a funny and fun and happy way. Socializing with other children is key to playing in the park.
Also, I have a notebook for each child and each day I note activities, food and liquid intake and timing, bathroom and sleep patterns.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My darling babies and children feel loved and cherished, heard and understood. When putting down for naps or evening sleep, with parents' permission, I rub their backs to soothe. For Baby London she loved Lavender to be rubbed on her chest after her bathtime. He Mummy loved how peacefully she slept during the evening!
Sometimes, when mummy and daddy leave for the work or a trip, the baby, toddler or young child will feel separation anxiety. And, my approach is to recognize and honor their sadness and to quickly have them help with simple, fun and distracting tasks. Four year old, for example, choose babies clothes for the day. Pick flowers in the garden for mummy and daddy. Help fold the laundry with special songs and dances. There is always more laundry on the floor being tossed about and up to the ceiling than folded!
And, equally, that I have a trusted relationship with mummy and daddy and other caretakers. This is absolutely key for the parents and babies and children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a dear friend whom has two young boys on the autism spectrum - 3 and 5. Highly active. And, truly amazing young boys.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh my gosh. There are so many. One scenario always comes to mind. 11 month old Baby Amy loved taking my fingers to help her walk, We walked on the grass, on the sand, on the cold floor tiles. One day, I was sitting on the floor waiting for Amy to crawl to me for us to read one of her favorite books. Instead of crawling Amy pushed herself up on the coffee table and woddled to me! An absolutely glorious shrief of laughter from me and Amy! Precious. And, another moment. Each morning when I arrived to take amazing care of Trevor. His mummy would carry him to the door when I rang the door bell. Immediately, upon seeing me, Trevor launched from his Mummy's arms to me with the most infectious giggle! Precious.
