Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at a church nursery as my first job. I have also worked at the YMCA and for a well known nanny company. Outside of that I have babysat for several families over the years and can provide references. I have cared for all ages, from infants to teenagers. I have also cared for up to 4 children at one time and children with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is about more than supervising children, it is about supporting their emotional and mental development. I believe it is important to provide children with experiences that do not solely involve screen time or electronics. Activities that teach children new things, improve their problem solving, develop their emotional responses, and for younger children help with developing their motor skills are of the utmost importance.
