Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids active, engaged, and having fun through a mix of outdoor and creative activities. I enjoy spending time outside, going to parks and playgrounds, swimming during the summer, and playing active games. I also love doing arts and crafts, building with LEGOs, playing card and board games, and encouraging imaginative play and pretend games. I previously worked as a summer swim coach with the Vestavia Swim Association, so I’m very comfortable supervising children around water and promoting swim safety while still keeping things fun.

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is balancing safety, structure, and fun while building trust with both the children and their parents. I believe consistency and clear communication are key to helping kids thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a baby deer wandered into the family’s yard, and the kids and I worked together to keep it safe. We stayed calm, kept our distance, and contacted the appropriate help while making sure the deer wasn’t stressed. It turned into a meaningful moment where the kids learned empathy, patience, and respect for animals, and it was really special to watch them take that responsibility seriously together.
