"Hi, my name is Melissa, I am a primary care nurse practitioner at Fallon Health. I have known Brooke for 16 years since we studied together for our undergraduate degree at Salve Regina University. We initially were enrolled in nursing and Brooke later switched to psychology. Our friendship has remained strong through the years. I have two children myself, a 6 year old boy, and a 5 year old girl. Brooke means the world to them, and they even call her auntie. They always look forward to seeing their auntie. Brooke has supported their special interests including disney magic, and taught them life skills like swimming and fishing. They love her, and she loves them. I highly recommend Brooke for this job, she is more than qualified, and additionally with her background in special needs care will foster teaching and learning.
Thank you,
Melissa Meunier AGNP"

"Brooke is my oldest friend. Throughout our friendship, Brooke has always been a consistent force of compassion, support, and caretaking. As I pursued a career in social services, first as a caseworker in foster care, then as a public defender in the Bronx, Brooke has always been there to support me with my goals and my challenges.
I’ve consistently seen Brooke care for, mentor, and teach children. I watched as she babysat her cousins. As they grew older, I watched as they idolized their babysitter -cousin-mentor. Brooke has an incredible relationship them based on her heavy hand in raising them.
Brooke always seeks opportunities to spend time with children. While she was in grad school, she worked full time as a nanny. She seamlessly balanced her full course load with her dedication to this family. She has experience working with infants with special needs and mentoring children when they make significant mistakes. It’s incredible to watch her with children! Her passion is visceral."

"It’s my pleasure to recommend Brooke for a job as a Nanny. In the 5 years that I have known Brooke, she is kind, compassionate, reliable and a complete joy to be around. Brooke exudes a true warmth that draws people to her. She’s helped w/ my children on many occasions whether it be to watch at the pool, tutoring, feed them when I work late or go out of town. She is wonderful w/ children and w/ pets. She helped raise her cousins and the 18 grandkids in her family. You can tell by the way she remains calm and interacts with children that she has a true calling for caretaking. You can find her playing in the pool w/ the neighborhood kids, chasing her dog around the farm, feeding the birds, fishing, and cooking her family recipes to share w/ the community. Brooke is always serving the community. Whether it be companionship for elders, yard games with kids or a shoulder to lean on, she is a strong woman w/ a heart of gold. I trust her w/ my kiddos and any family would be lucky to have her."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
During graduate school I worked full time as a nanny. The first few weeks I started he was only 2 weeks old, and 3 when I left. They also had another baby right after who was 1 when I left. I have also been a live nanny for my cousins who were 9 month old, 7 year old, and 10 year old when I was 15.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy so many things, but always age related, and what they are interested in! I am up for every activity!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Age appropriate. But for the babies and toddlers; cultivating that relationship with their parents. Older children, getting to teach them how to express themselves, and be who they want to be. Being a kid is figuring out who you are still. But I listen to the parents foremost, and follow what structure/ activities they want.
My experience with special needs children...
I’m one class away from my master in applied behavioral analysis, so I have worked with many kids on the spectrum
The most important part about being a nanny...
Seeing the growth of the baby and child, and including their parents in their learning and growth.
