Hi there! My name is Brooklyn. I am currently a first year nursing student and am also CPR and BLS certified. I am offering long-term, and short-term childcare, as well as pet care, and household services. I absolutely love watching children and am very interested in the science behind child development and helping to create a nurturing environment that ensures your little one will be able to flourish ✨ I have experience watching infants, toddlers, and school age children since I was 14 years old, so coming up on 7 years now. I love to do crafts with children, music therapy, tutoring if needed, and much more. I also like to follow Montessori style play and care if requested! I am more than happy to work as a household assistant and have done so in the past. I’m happy to assist with laundry, dishes, organization, general clean-up, and anything else you could think of! Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite things to do with children are always hands-on creative activities! I love to do collaging, painting, drawing, and then making a fun game out of cleaning it up. I also love to create hands-on learning sensory stations for young toddlers, and allow the child to lead and teach independence. I find it very important to create an environment that is engaging but not too overwhelming, which is rooted in Montessori style learning. I believe that children are just as capable as anybody else and that teaching them independence during activities sets them up to be their most confident selves. I also love anything outdoorsy, such as nature walks and observing plants, bugs, and the weather to spark curiosity in little ones! The most important thing is to create an environment where kids can feel supported to grow, create, and explore.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is watching the children grow and reach their milestones. I have taken child development and psychology courses and I love applying what I’ve learned from those classes as well as my first-hand experiences to create tailored plans for your little ones to flourish! The other most important part is knowing that, as a nanny, Is being trusted by the families to always give the most sincere care to their children, and being able to help busy families.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was assisting my 3 year old girl I watched say her first words! She was delayed in speech and was going through months of speech therapy, and after lots of work together she said.. “blue!” at the sky. It was a heartwarming moment and being able to share it with her parents was a moment I will always love.
