I am currently a teacher at a daycare In Oshkosh Wisconsin. I work with children ages 3 months to 5 years of age. I change diapers, portion out meals and snacks for each child, help with potty training, Put children down for naps, bottle feed young children, and follow lesson plans.

The most important part about being a nanny...
You get to inspire children to explore the world around them. Children, especially young children have such a curious mind. They’re constantly asking questions and trying to understand the word they’re in. It’s exciting to see how your positive interactions will help them expand their creativity and curiosities.
My experience with special needs children...
I babysat a 12-year-old who had Autism. I helped her with daily self-care activities such as brushing her hair, remembering to wash her hands. I also helped her with her social skills by teaching her how to wait her turn, allowing other people to choose activities, and helping her hold meaningful conversations. Most importantly I reminded her how to be safe, such as making sure to ask who is at the door before answering, making sure to walk on the sidewalk and not in the road, and not talking to strangers.
