The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is becoming a part of the kid's life in a meaningful way. You're going to be spending a lot of time with them and so I think it's important that they know that they are important to you and loved. I want them to feel like they can trust me and be themselves. I think it's important in life to have fun but also find the balance between getting homework done ( chores, etc) and doing the things that bring joy to that kid's life!
My experience with special needs children...
I had a neighbor growing up that has special needs and absolutely love her. She is one of my best friends! I participated in a Special Olympics every year and worked with different kids with varying needs. I am very familiar with the needs they have and the different ways to help them:)
