More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have extensive experience working with children of all ages. I have spent seven years as a swim instructor, teaching children ages 3–12 and helping them build confidence in the water. While earning my Master’s degree in Education, I regularly babysat two toddler boys for two years, becoming a consistent and trusted part of their routine. I also completed 6 months of student teaching and am now a certified classroom teacher. My Master’s degree in Education and diverse childcare experience have given me a strong understanding of child development, patience, and communication.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy doing hands-on and everyday activities with kids that keep things fun and engaging. I love doing arts and crafts and painting with them, going for walks and exploring outside, swimming, and reading together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is being a consistent, reliable, and trustworthy presence in a child’s life. I want children to feel safe, supported, and comfortable enough to be themselves around me. Building that kind of relationship where they feel secure, understood, and cared for is what makes the role truly meaningful.

My experience with special needs children...

As a classroom teacher, I have worked with many students who have IEPs and diverse learning needs. I regularly differentiate instruction, adapt activities, and provide individualized support to help each child succeed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard to choose just one favorite memory because I’ve watched the 2 boys I cared for grow so much over the years. When I started, the youngest was just 16 months old (he’s now 3½), and the oldest was 3 (now 5½). I’ve celebrated birthdays with them, watched the youngest learn to talk and walk, and had the privilege of seeing both boys grow into the wonderful and smart little people they are today.

If I had to pick one moment, it would be a day at the pool with their mom. The oldest had been terrified of the water for a long time, and after lessons and practice, I got to watch him swim and actually enjoy being in the pool. Seeing how proud he was of himself and knowing I got to be part of building that confidence was incredibly rewarding. I was and still am so proud of him. Those moments are what make caring for children so special to me.
