In Colombia I had the opportunity to take care of children of all ages from 8 months to 12 years old as babysitter.
During my time as an au pair, I had the wonderful opportunity to care for children aged 2 to 4 years. My responsibilities included preparing their meals, ensuring their well-being, and designing arts and crafts activities to stimulate their creativity. Additionally, I planned outdoor games that not only promoted the development of their coordination but also allowed them to enjoy the fresh air.

I enjoy doing activities that are fun for children, such as arts and crafts, painting, playing with playdough, and engaging in outdoor games like playing with a ball. I also love taking them to the park, riding scooters or bikes, or simply going for a walk together. In addition, I enjoy reading them stories, playing with puzzles, cooking simple meals they will enjoy, and singing and dancing to music.

I believe that the most important aspect of caring for children is always ensuring their well-being by providing a safe and stable environment. It’s essential to establish a close connection with the person caring for them and, of course, to understand their needs in order to develop stimulating activities that promote their growth. This will not only foster open communication but also help establish routines that they enjoy, making them feel secure and happy.

One of my favorite moments with the children was when they loved to cook. From time to time, we would bake cupcakes to enjoy, and I always played music to set the mood. On one occasion, while we were playing, we imagined they had a restaurant, and they were cooking in their toy kitchen. Suddenly, they asked for music, and while they "cooked," they also sang and danced. It’s a special memory because every time we cooked or pretended to cook, we played music, and while we waited, we had fun dancing.
