A little bit about me

Nannying since I was 15. I have been through CPR multiple times but have not renewed my license since 2019 when I left the army. I have two step children myself (2 and 5). I have a clean and safe home where I am willing to watch smaller children. It is important to me that each child is monitored and attended to with minimal distractions. My step children also have a room in my home so there is already plenty of toys to keep the child entertained. I have a small dog named Laia who is very gentle with children and mostly just sleeps, but this is something to consider if you or the child has allergies.
My husband is a baker, and we often have fresh baked goods around. So if you hire me, expect free delicious treats often.

More About Me

I ran a church nursery through out high school for 0-4 year olds. I have also been a "big sister" for the BBBS program while in college.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

-Dance parties are big in my house as it allows children to exercise and express themselves.
-Depending on the age, I also like to teach children how to make simple things in the kitchen. It builds their confidence and is good for their coordination.
-Tea parties are also a common occurrence.

Is to provide a safe and healthy environment. This is not just physically safe, but also safe for the children to have self expression and learn.

My favorite moments are the deeper conversations. Children are much smarter and capable of understanding large concepts than given credit for. If you take the time to listen to them and give real answers to their questions, they will blossoms as conversationalists. My oldest nephew used to love to ask "why" about everything. I decided to always give a real answer. This has led him to believe I am "so smart, I should be a scientist". I was amazed to hear him tell his grandma (very accurately) how the water cycle works at the age of 4! These moments are my favorite.
