Relevant experience where I also cared for children were through my roles as a Program Manager for an edible schoolyard and after-school program, Program Coordinator for an elementary school reading program, Junior High School Tutor, and Volunteer Kindergarten Aide. In these positions, I provided direct supervision, academic support, tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment activities for children, while also supporting their social-emotional development and working closely with families, teachers, and school staff. While working in these positions I was happy to monitor children’s safety and behavior, facilitate activities, communicate with parents, and support positive social and emotional development.
