Being a nanny is more than just fulfilling your responsibilities. It's about connecting with the child and making them feel important and cared for. I grew up with an aupair all my childhood and my favorite au pairs were the ones that truly enjoyed their job and who went above and beyond to make sure that my brother and I were happy.
My experience with special needs children...
I was a part of a program all throughout high school called Best Buddies! We all met twice a week and did a fun activity after school. I was also a peer buddy which meant I was matched up with one person in the group and we would do an activity together every 1-2 times a month.
