Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything outdoors/earth science related. I love getting out in nature with children and being their guides as they explore and learn all about the beautiful planet we all get to share.
But on rainy days I also love doing any art and craft and adore helping children learn how to best express themselves creatively!
I'm an active member of the library as well. My sister is a librarian at a local library that I love to frequent with my little ones as often as we can. Books are such an amazing resource that can really help you get to know a child and their interests!

The most important part about being a nanny...
My main goal when I go into work everyday is to ensure my nanny kids are safe to the absolute best of my ability. In my 10+ years in childcare, a child has never once sustained an injury above a booboo.
My second goal is that the children I care for know how special they are. Almost all of my lullabies and silly songs center around this theme as I think it's an important thing for children to know that their inherit value cannot be diminished. That they are precious and loved and cared for.
And of course the third most important is to have as much fun as possible! Because little minds cannot learn a thing unless they are having fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many. But there is one that I have gotten to experience with almost every child in my care.
The moment when a child does something they didn't think they could do for the first time. Like going down a big slide, counting to 10, or even something as simple as whistling. They are magical moments and I feel so grateful to be there for each one.
