More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have five years of experience as a babysitter, and during that time, I’ve cared for children ranging from infants to 12 years old. I’ve handled groups of up to four kids at once, balancing different ages and needs while keeping things fun, safe, and organized. Whether it’s bottle-feeding a baby, helping with homework, or planning activities to keep everyone engaged, I’m confident and comfortable managing a variety of situations with care and patience!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m always up for fun and creative activities with kids! I love doing arts and crafts, playing outside, watching movies, pretending and using our imaginations, building with Legos, and even doing some easy food prep together. Whether we’re getting messy with paint or running around playing tag, I’m all about making sure the kids are having a great time!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building real, trusting relationships with the families. It’s about being someone they feel safe with, someone they can laugh with, learn from, and look forward to seeing. Whether I’m helping with schoolwork, playing outside, doing crafts, or just having a silly pretend play moment, I always aim to create a space where kids feel supported and happy. My experience has shown me how much of an impact a nanny can have. It’s not just a job, it’s a chance to be part of a child’s world in a meaningful way, and that’s something I truly value.
My experience with special needs children...
Growing up, my mom was a special needs teacher, so I spent a lot of time in her classroom helping out. I loved being part of the students’ day, whether that meant joining in on educational activities, helping with meals, or assisting with transportation. Those experiences really sparked my interest in working with children with diverse needs. I’m also studying to become a speech-language pathologist, so I’ve learned a lot through my college courses about special education and how to support kids with complex needs. It’s something I’m passionate about, and I always aim to be patient, understanding, and encouraging!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the moments that really stuck with me happened during a summer I spent nannying for a family with four of the sweetest boys. One day, I pulled up to their house and all four of them came running outside to greet me with the biggest smiles and hugs. One of the younger ones had picked a little flower earlier in the day and had been saving it just to give to me when I arrived. It completely melted my heart. That moment made me realize how special this job really is, it’s not just about keeping kids safe or entertained. It’s about the genuine relationships you build and the little moments that show how much you matter to them. That’s what makes it all so meaningful.
