I previously worked at Preschool Connection Learning Academy in Belmont, North Carolina for five years! I started as an assistant teacher in the 2-year-old classroom and, through my reliability, dedication, and strong job performance, was steadily promoted to Lead Preschool Teacher! During that time, I cared for and taught young children by creating engaging, age-appropriate activities, supporting their social and emotional development, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and building positive relationships with both children and their families. I truly enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel loved, and I plan to bring that same level of patience, dependability, and care to every family I work with. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love learning through play, exploring outdoors, and encouraging creativity and curiosity! I love planning fun, age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, reading stories, imaginative play, sensory activities, and educational games. I also enjoy spending time outside—going for walks, visiting parks, playing in the backyard, and exploring nature. I believe children learn best when they're having fun, so I strive to create experiences that are both engaging and enriching every day!

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me the most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe every child deserves patience, kindness, and encouragement as they learn and grow. Building trust with both the children and their parents is just as important, and I strive to provide dependable care, open communication, and consistency. My goal is to not only keep children safe and happy but also to help them develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning through everyday experiences and play!

My experience with special needs children...

My experience comes primarily from my time working in a preschool setting. While I do not have formal training or certification in special needs care, I received extensive on-the-job experience supporting children with a variety of abilities, developmental differences, and behavioral challenges. I learned strategies for managing behaviors with patience and consistency, adapting my approach to meet each child's individual needs, and creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every child could feel safe and successful. I am always eager to learn and work closely with families to provide the best possible care for each child!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment hasn't happened yet, as I haven't worked as a private nanny before! However, my favorite moments from working in preschool were always the relationships I built with the children. I loved watching them learn and grow every day. There was nothing more rewarding than seeing a child master a new skill, gain confidence, or light up with excitement after learning something new. Being a positive, consistent part of their lives and celebrating those milestones with them is what made working with children so meaningful to me, and it's what I'm most excited to bring to a nanny role.
