I watched my little sister for many many years as well as my younger, special-needs brother. I’ve always watched one kid at the most.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love cooking and doing arts and crafts such as painting. I find that children love to play imaginary games, especially games that are about one of their favorite books or movies or shows. Another thing I like to do is small little experiments that can be done with household appliances like soap, and, baking powder or soap and pepper just fun little things that kids find fascinating.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of childcare is to make the child feel not as though you are watching them or that you have to be there, but more so that you want to be there and that you are their friend. You need to be a stern with a child, of course, but you need to be friendly and bond with the child if you want them to have a positive positive experience.
My experience with special needs children...
My younger brother is a special-needs child. His name is Nathaniel and he is missing his 18th chromosome he is completely nonverbal and has a hard time understanding things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I wouldn’t say I have a particular favorite moment. One of my favorite moments was when me and my little sister, who was watching for the weekend went into the city and went to a conservatory and looked at all all the pretty plants.
