A little bit about me

I’m studying at the University or Montana with a major in Psychology and a minor in Human Family Development. I love kids and am a member of CYCLE, a research lab focused on child development. I’m from Spokane, WA, and graduated High-School in 2019. As an aspiring child psychologist I would love to practice interacting and communicating with children in a patient and calm manner, really getting a grasp as to how their little minds truly function. Although I lack practical experience in the field of nannying, I have taken multiple child development courses at the University of Montana, including courses focusing on family health communication as well as courses focusing on family development. In my personal life I have experience both babysitting and watching younger cousins and my niece, and believe I can bring a responsible and caring approach to watching your children as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe learning can be a fulfilling and invigorating experience for children if done the right way! Through relating their schoolwork to things that they find interesting and stimulating, I enjoy teaching kids the topics they’re learning in a fun way! Aside from that, I am a major supporter of connecting to nature! I believe walks and trips to the park are crucial for a child’s development interacting with the physical aspects of the world. While screen-time is a topic that varies parent to parent, and further communication would need to be had in that area, seeing what content the children find entertaining and letting them teach me about it is another activity that I’ve always found fulfilling in regards to kids, whether it be my younger cousins, or my 5 year old niece.
