The most important part about being a nanny is meeting not only the physical, but also the mental and emotional needs of a child or children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Epilepsy, and various other special needs. I am comfortable caring for children with special needs as long as there is a care plan in place to make sure that they are getting everything that they need!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was right after I told my last nanny kids that I was leaving. I and the parents had been having behavioral issues with the older nanny child, and she often seemed to dislike anyone in sight who wanted to give her direction. When I told them that I was going to be moving and wouldn't be nannying them anymore, she ran over, hugged me, and said "Don't leave, Ms. Cassie! I love you!" It completely melted my heart to know that I had made a positive impact on her.
