More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I currently work as a classroom aide for a PreK3 class at an elementary school. I wake up excited to play, learn, and love each day and always feel at place with my kids. Each day I work alongside my mentor teacher and have learned so much about behaviors, creating a positive and loving space, and conflict resolution with young kids.
In the past I have also worked at Head Start, where during my shifts, I was in the classroom with up to 16 children at a time, all with different abilities, IEPs, and special needs. The children were 3-5 years old, and I worked alongside other teachers to supervise play, crafts, and assist with family-style meals, potty training, and sleep training.
I also have experience as a summer camp counselor, nanny, and babysitter. I’ve cared for ages four months through teenagers and have lots of experience with multiples.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my favorites is baking with children - it’s a fun activity that can also be a learning experience! I always find that the best experiences come from engaging in activities both the kids and myself can enjoy. I enjoy teaching children how to measure, pour, etc. and letting them take over. It is always so fun to see where their mind goes when it comes to decorating baked goods as well!
I also love crafts, puzzles, building forts, and movies. In our classroom, we encourage independence by installing courage in our students, and their work always amazes me.
My absolute favorite activity is exploring new places with kids and being active outside, whether that be swimming, hiking, creek stomping, or even fishing. I enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of nature with kids while giving them a chance for their creativity to evolve.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a bond with the kids! It's so much fun to have a good connection with families and learn more about each individual. I love being looked at as part of the family and being able to have good relationships with everybody 😊
My experience with special needs children...
As a classroom aide, I have a good amount of experience with special needs children. I have worked with non-verbal children, developmental delays, IEPs, and children on the autism spectrum. Every child is different, and I believe it’s important to work with them and learn their habits and abilities no matter what!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most memorable moments as a nanny was with two of my older girls. We had a super fun day and then came home to bake easter-themed cupcakes and have a dance party, which ended in me losing a tickle war.
