Being there for them to be heard + listened to, so they can “open up” to an adult in good confidence, if +\ when needed. Even if I only listen, it is a good feeling, to be able to be there for them. Being a support system to confide in, or just to, bounce ideas off of, is a good thing + a good position to be in.
