I am an aspiring mom with a Certificate in First Aid for Infants and Children: Home, School, and Everyday Emergencies. I am passionate about helping families by creating a safe, fun, and stress-free environment for both parents and children.
I have experience multitasking in high-paced and stressful situations, along with hands-on unpaid experience caring for children. I am also confident handling both everyday challenges and emergency situations calmly and responsibly.
I am fun, outgoing, dependable, and love bringing smiles to little faces. I am very flexible with scheduling, have reliable transportation, and am committed to providing families with trustworthy and compassionate care.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for children of family members and close family friends, where I developed strong skills in supervising, entertaining, and supporting children of different ages. Through this hands-on experience, I have assisted with meal preparation, diaper changes, bathing, bedtime routines, cleaning and organizing, and creating a safe, positive environment. I am patient, dependable, and able to stay calm in high-stress situations while ensuring children are cared for with attention and compassion.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in fun, creative, and educational activities such as board games, coloring, arts and crafts, pretend play, and playing with dolls. I also enjoy incorporating learning games and activities that encourage mental, emotional, and physical growth for infants and children. My goal is to create a safe, positive, and interactive environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun while feeling comfortable and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is ensuring that every child is always safe, comfortable, and genuinely well cared for both mentally and physically. Safety means making sure the child’s environment, surroundings, and everyday items are appropriate and secure for their age group. Comfort goes beyond basic needs like hunger or temperature — it also means helping children feel emotionally safe, relaxed, and comfortable with me being involved in their daily routines and more sensitive situations without fear or hesitation. Being well cared for means doing my best to support the child’s overall happiness, health, growth, and emotional well-being while providing a nurturing and balanced environment where they can feel loved, supported, and understood.

My experience with special needs children...

While I do not have professional experience caring for children with special needs, I am comfortable assisting some low-risk children due to my patience, caring nature, and certification in First Aid, CPR, and emergency response for all age groups. I understand the importance of providing a safe, supportive, and attentive environment, and I am always willing to learn and follow parents’ guidance to ensure the best care possible. However, because I am still gaining hands-on experience, I currently feel most confident working with children who require lower-risk or less intensive specialized care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite experiences while caring for children was joining in imaginative play with a 3-year-old and a 15-month-old. We turned the hallway into a “tunnel” where we would run from the “monster,” and later pretended to go fishing from the couch, working together to “catch” the big imaginary fish. Moments like these are what I love most about working with children because they encourage creativity, teamwork, laughter, and bonding while making the children feel engaged, happy, and comfortable.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Twin Falls, ID: Johan S.

Hello! My name is Johan Serna. I have over two years of experience working at the Boys & Girls Club, where I was a shift lead for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have a strong passion for working with children. I am patient, responsible, caring, and experienced in creating a safe, fun, and positive environment for kids.

I love doing arts and crafts, STEM activities, games, outdoor play, and educational activities that help children learn and grow. I am also comfortable helping with meals, cleaning, organizing, and daily routines. Working with kids has always been something I truly enjoy, and I plan to continue my education at Idaho State University to pursue Health Science and eventually work in physical therapy for special-needs children.

I want families to feel confident knowing their children are in a safe, supportive, and caring environment with me.
