A little bit about me

Hi I'm Catherine! I am a 59 year old, educated, responsible, fun person! I have 36 years experience in child and animal care. I have a bachelor's degree in communication and an associates in social work. I have raised two sons on my own. They have grown into successful, worldly young men! During my time at the University, I owned and operated a business, "Nursery Rhythms", where I taught children's fitness and nutrition. I then was employed aquatics director. I taught water safety, swim lessons, first aid, and cpr to infants through adults. I just recently managed a horse stable with 80+ horses, where we taught equine therapy to troubled youth of all ages. I did this for 7 years.
I was recently employed by a previous Colonel at Hill Air Force, Base, Utah as a Nanny/Mentor for his daughter with autism.
I am currently employed as a Youth Mentor at Way Point Academy. Just for fun...
I've been on a couple reality shows, which portratrays my fun, adventurous personality!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've had 36 years experience with Children. Worked 4 years in Montessori. I then Home schooled my two sons. I Owned and operated a successful fitness, and nutrition program for children for about 10 years.
I also taught swim lessons, and certified water safety, cpr and first aid to young children through adults for 13 years.
I taught equine therapy for 7 years with toubled teens.
I was also recently employed by a colonel at Hill Air Force Base as his Nanny for almost 2 years.
I am presently a youth mentor @ Way Point Academy in Huntsville, but looking for a Full Time position thats brings more of personable meaning and is closer to my home so as to make myself more accessible!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most importantly, Understanding what each individual need for the child is and and being able to make that happen. I am very Intuitive and patient. I love nothing more than learning who they are, and how to best appeal to each child!

I have experience in working with troubled youth through an equine therapy program for 7 years.
I was a private mentor for a young girl with autism for 2 years.
I am a happy individual with positive energy! I feel that is an important aspect, (as a role model) to bring into a caring and nurturing environment!
