My experience with special needs children...

My mom is a special education teacher and I spent a lot of time with her and her kids. Growing up my sisters best friends sister was wheelchair bound and I spent a lot of time with her. I also had a neighbor who has a kid with autism and I have babysat for them many times. I absolutely love it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Because I have never been a nanny before I'm going to use one of my favorite moments from babysitting. I used to babysit these two kids who were training to be MMA fighters. Both of their parents were MMA fighters and it was really important to them that the kids followed in their footsteps. We spent a lot of time running around outside and having nerf gun wars. One day while I was babysitting them they wanted to build a fort. So we moved their couches together and grabbed chairs and blankets and some gym mats. We made a slide on one side with one of the mats and it kept them busy for hours. We had dinner in the fort and watched a movie before bed. It was fairly easy to clean up but the kids were just so happy and that made me happy.
