A little bit about me

I’ve had a passion for childcare and education since before I can remember. This feeling only became stronger as my younger siblings were born and I helped raise them. I went on to volunteer at multiple camps and later pursued a job at a local daycare while taking high school teacher preparation and psychology courses to learn more about how children function and what they truly need to fully nurture them. I successfully completed my early childhood (birth-3rd grade) teacher preparation program and received my bachelor’s degree at Coastal Carolina University and had 5 hands-on student teaching experiences throughout my time there. I graduated in May of 2023 and taught 3rd grade at Myrtle Beach Elementary school until I made my journey back to New Jersey to be closer to family. I have 7+ years of experience overall. I have been babysitting since I was 12 and volunteered at a summer program for children entering kindergarten for many years. I worked at a daycare (ages 3mo-10 yrs) in high school and on breaks in college and later became the assistant director and lead toddler teacher there. I have my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and am certified to teach through 3rd grade in the state of NJ and SC. I was a 3rd grade general education teacher and now substitute teach prek-highschool. I also nannied for a family with a 3 year old, and 1 year old with special needs through Nanny Lane last year!
